If you are driving from Jasper be prepared for Jasper National Park at its finest. See what some of our Facebook fans were saying this summer (Drive from Jasper) Enjoy a scenic drive to the Overlander Mountain Lodge. Along the way you can expect to see more than 1300 plant species in the park. Discover the 20,000 diverse types of insects and spiders, 277 types of birds, 16 amphibian species and 40 types of fish. There are also 68 species of mammals that roam the wildlife refuge. Take some time to visit the Miette Hot Springs which are heated geothermally before reaching the Overlander Mountain Lodge.
Driving Directions
From Edmonton
Head West on The Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16) for approx. 3 hours.
After passing the town of Hinton, continue West for approx. 15 minutes.
The Overlander Mountain Lodge is located on the right (North) side of the highway.
Total Driving Time: Approximately 3 hours
From Calgary via Banff, Lake Louise, and Columbia Icefields
Head West on the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1).
Continue through Banff and Lake Louise. Approx. 10 minutes from Lake Louise, turn North along Highway 93 and continue for approx. 2.5 hours.
Don’t forget to stop at the beautiful Icefields on your way!
When you reach Jasper, head East on The Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16) and continue for 30 minutes.
After exiting the National Park, The Overlander Mountain Lodge will be located on the left (North) side of the Highway.
