The location is conveniently situated five minutes from the town of Jasper at the former site of Pyramid Stables. There are several trail ride options that include one, two or three hour rides like the Athabasca Outlook ride or the Ridgeline and Cottonwood Loop ride. Prices range from $38 for one hour to $92 for three hours. Riders can also go on a full day trip like the Rocky Mountain High ride that lasts for six hours. These scenic trips through Jasper National Park give riders multiple opportunities to see the wildlife of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Horseback Adventures Ltd.
This family-owned second generation business has been catering to area visitors since 1980. Visitors can enjoy horseback riding vacations to Jasper National Park, Willmore Wilderness Park and Rock Lake-Solomon Creek Wildland Park. The stable is prepared for riders with a wide range of skills, from the novice to the more experienced rider. All of the horses at Horseback Adventures Ltd. were born and raised on the ranch. The staff trains the horses so that they have the right temperament for guided horseback tours, and they are bred for strength, stamina and gentleness. Horseback Adventures Ltd. is located outside of Jasper, approximately 24 km off of Highway 40 north to Grande Cache/Grande Prairie.
Riders should prepare for longer trips by wearing the proper clothing and bringing supplies like water, snacks and a jacket. Most stables provide saddle bags for day long trips.
